Come walk for freedom with KHF!

YOU'RE INVITED to Chicago, IL Freedom Walk on behalf of the Kirsten Haglund Foundation! Join us as we celebrate eating disorder recovery, and raise lifesaving funds for treatment scholarships. The Freedom Walk will include sponsors providing eating disorder information and resources, inspirational speakers, an exciting silent auction, and a pre-walk yoga warm up.

Program Details


Annie Kamps - Emcee

Annie Kamps (She/Her) is a dynamic communicators advocate, and content creator with a master's degree from Illinois State University, where she specialized in instructional and interpersonal communication while working as a collegiate instructor and fitness trainer. A Top 5 finalist at Miss Illinois 2024 and Nancy Foote Top Interview Award winner, Annie has made waves in the Miss America Organization with her groundbreaking original monologue talent. She is also the force behind Surviving Adversity Through Civic Engagement, traveling 50,000+ miles across Illinois and raising over $100,000 to break down barriers for underserved communities. The Queen of Communication Podcast and her Youtube channel, Annie empowers others with pageantry, fitness, and communication insights. When she's not leading workshops or creating content, she enjoys time with her rescue pets, Ellie, Benjamin, and Sox. Follow her journey on Instagram: @official_anniekamps


Tee Kaa - Speaker and Walk Coordinator

Threasa "Tee Kaa" Kluever, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who currently works in private practice serving those who struggle with eating disorders and/or a dissatisfied relationship with food and their body, along with those struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma and/or substance use. As a mental health professional, she is able to bring her educational background and her own lived experience and recovery from an eating disorder and other mental health concerns as she meets her clients where they are at. Tee enjoys walking alongside her clients in their journey of recovery and rediscovering a life worth living. Tee also has experience volunteering as a support group leader, recovery mentor, and organizing awareness walks with several eating disorder awareness organizations. She is excited to continue to raise awareness for eating disorders and recovery through the Kirsten Haglund Foundation's Freedom Walk.

Amanda Weller - Fundraising & Outreach Manager

Amanda discovered her passion for mental health advocacy after recovering from her own eating disorder. She has shared her story through writing, social media, and speaking engagements. Now married and living in Chicago, Amanda helps coordinate fundraising events for the Kirsten Haglund Foundation. She is excited to be bringing two Freedom Walks to the midwest this spring - Columbia, MO and Chicago, IL!
